My understanding is:

• As soon as you realize you're listening to Last Christmas by Wham, you're out.
• Covers don't count.

So logic clearly dictates that if you think you're hearing the song, you might as well listen some more just in case it turns out to be a cover, like this version by Ukrainian band No Apology:

I'm still alive. The Biggest danger probably comes at a Business Christmas Party next weekend in which I'm expected to at least show up or pay my respects to everyone (basically, show up and grin at a minimum and be nice to the employees and such).

They seem to love their christmas music and such at that event...that's probably my biggest threat right there to me losing Whamageddon.

I don't think it will even be from the younger Gen Z and Gen A employees, it will probably be either a Millennial or Gen X that wants that song played!
