Well, Last Christmas is amazing and Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time is horrible, so of course Last Christmas is better.

Which is worse? Wonderful Christmastime or Do They Know It's Christmas? I would argue that the former, while banal, is nowhere near as tone deaf or cringey as the latter.

Do They Know It's Christmas? isn't a Beatles song. It's that awful Band Aid "supergroup" song from the 80s. The one about how we should feel bad for the Africans while we party because they don't have any water other than their tears and won't get any snow at Christmas and the only present they'll get is "life", etc.

Still in it / surviving so far. Is unusual, as i have it on my Christmas Playlist, and isnt an uncommon one on radio, but with young kids in the house again, can't play the radio so much any more, and any Spotify is on dinosaur songs, Ms Moni or Paw Patrol...

I got "Do They Know It's Christmas" confused with "War is Over". But yeah, I hope I never hear that song again.

I always find it funny that John Lennon was known for peace and love, when he was anything but. I just watched a documentary on his "Lost Weekend" where he admitted so.
