What 3 Things Would You Do...

1. Make ISPs treat all their customers equally by deploying and maintaining equal quality infrastructure everywhere.

2. Force ISPs to actually begin deploying modern equipment upgrades (by dipping into Senior Executive bonuses and golden parachutes, not by increasing already beyond-ridiculous customer prices) instead of stubbornly relying on systems that are more than a decade old, barely work, and break down frequently.

3. Total bandwidth is limited. All access pricing schemes should be based on total bandwidth used. You pay for what you use. That way, bandwidth hogs that choke the Internet can pay for what they do, and the rest of us aren't subsidizing them. There should be no favoritism between who can use bandwidth.

3 A common sense filter. You are asked "are you sure?' 3 times before you post something stupid.
The only thing about common sense is that it isn't.

Recently, IBM came up with an amazing supercomputer that could win at Jeopardy against the best champions ever. I think they'll needs something superior to capture even one common sense concept. Or: we're not there yet.
