What a steaming pile of otyugh feces!

After seeing those initial character sheets several months back, two sets of playtest documents, perusing the rule of three questions, mike's column, and then on top of that Mr. Cook leaving out of the blue ( not that I care, I am not a big fan of his work], I feel like 5e was one serious snap decision. It just feels like.they are totally winging this from week to week.

To keep it somewhat related to the OP I believe WOTC is a morlock wandering around above ground.

Yeah, there are some details in the 5e design that are individually pretty reasonable. It is the thing taken as a whole that bugs me. It is just regressive somehow. I don't like the fundamental approach.

I feel like a dragon, sitting in his cave, waiting for adventurers to show up to have some fun and a snack. But I got bored and flew off to look elsewhere and found a golden horde and villages to burninate. So, I'm a happy dragon, those adventurers can go bug someone else.

I hear a distant chorus of Trumpet Archons playing a majestic and graceful flourish...a fanfare that grows closer with each new packet and fills my heart and soul with hope.

It's not finished yet, but I can already see changes brought about from really listening to player feedback - as well as changes made to improve the games versatility and appeal to all D&D fans. I'm very impressed and hopeful they'll achieve the goals they set down for themselves.

:)

Yeah, wow, they sure didn't listen to the feedback from our group! Playtest packet 2 is going 100% in the wrong direction. :(

I feel like I wished for more wishes.

The first playtest gave me a lot of questions, and I wished for answers. How do I create characters? Why do halflings have more damage with slings? And so on. In response, they gave me a second playtest...but instead of answers, it only gave mes more questions. I am now stuck in a time loop, forever wishing for answers, and getting only questions.

I think that's known as the LOST effect.

I feel like an Inevitable. Neither positive, nor negative, would prefer to be able to fit everything in a neat line of numbers.

Goblin HP:3, S-1/D+1/C0/I0/W-1/C-1/melee Atk-1, 1d6/Ranged atk +1, 1d6+1/Dirty fighter+2, Stealthy+5

Oh, hey, it works better than I imagined. Happy as a Modron, then! Any modron, they seem like happy folks.

I am the center of the Plane of Concordant Opposition.

I like this and would play it for a one-shot, but there's nothing there so far that makes me want to switch. Don't hate it and don't love it.
