The discount theatre near me has sound which would probably be rated barely adequate. However, my hearing is not so precise that I can tell much of a difference in the fidelity, so it doesn't bother me. I do know some people who will simple turn their noses up at the thought of going there, but for $1.50, I could care less.Wolf72 said:do those theatre's have a decent sound set up? ... one of the reasons I'll catch a matinee showing (around $6 v reg of $9.50) is for the visual and auditory experiences. Later on it'll come to my in-laws local theatre which only charges $3.50. Even better, they're strict on rules and routinely kick out those annoying unsupervised teenagers that throw ice/candy/talk etc.
