Take it to a car audio place- I bet they could get it out for you, and they'd probably do it gratis to build up a rapport with a potential future customer...and if they don't, a dealership will for sure.

Good thinking - thanks. I'll pop in to the dealership when I'm over that side of town at the weekend. :)

Actually, first of all I'll post on a car forum and see if I get any suggestions. Then Plan B will be the dealership.

I think it's feeling lonely because I just moved offices and get public transport into work now ;)

I mainly listen to podcasts these days:
Smodcast (Kevin Smith & his producer partner Scott Mosier talk about whatever is on their mind)
Podcastle (Spoken fantasy short fiction)
Escapepod (Spoken sci-fi short fiction)
Vinyl Cafe (CBC radio show. I usually describe it to people as "The Prairie Home Companion, only entertaining.")
Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me (NPR's news "game show")
Word Balloon (comic book creator interviews)

For music, the past couple of days I've either been listening to Supertramp or to Dala (who I discovered on the Vinyl Cafe).

Just discovered this band:

Animals As Leaders

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AG_-d9D-4I&feature=related]YouTube - Animals As Leaders - "The Price of Everything and the Value of Nothing"[/ame]
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=789rbPEehCM&feature=related"]YouTube- Animals As Leaders - "Modern Meat"[/ame]

Point of fact: this band has no bass player- the bass line is played by the band's guitarist/founder, Tosin Abasi, on his 7- and 8-string guitars...

I dug out some of my Material CDs to play a few tunes for my Dad, like this one:

Top of the page someone was listening to an album called The Grand Illusion so here's another band with an album by that name (well, technically only 'Grand Illusion' but close enough!). I present the mighty Nocturnal Rites
