D&D 4E What are you planning for your first 4E character?

I'll be making a Warlord or some sort. Still haven't decided on the details but it will certainly be a warlord. My favorite archetype has always been the guy who buffs his party and can do decent in melee. I had always played clerics in previous editions and the warlord looks like exactly what I've always wanted!

If I get to play I'm going to want to play a cleric. I've always been a cleric player and being able to heal as a minor action is fantastic.

I myself am planning on making an intelligent Human Fighter, specializing in the glaive as his main weapon (whether there are mechanics for specialization or not) with either a saber or a longsword as a secondary weapon, and dabbling in either some Warlock or Warlord abilities. I'm thinking either Warlord to tie in with a high Intelligence, or Warlock and use some ritual magic.
Pretty much the same as you, but definitively going for Warlord. Oh, and I want an Eladrin. Because I want a fighter that can pop up right next to you, if something wants to eat your face!

Cheers, LT.

Two characters in mind right off both for a solo game...

Dragonborn (or Maybe Orc) Paladin with Cleric MC.

Human Warlock with Wizard MC or the reverse. I have to read through both classes to see which I want for base, but I want something that dips into both arcane source classes. :)

It will probably be a while before I play (I'm DMing our first 4e campaign), but when I play I'll likely go human paladin . . . not sure if I'll multiclass or not.

Personality . . . Jules Winfield (Samuel L. Jackson) from Pulp Fiction :D

"And you will know that my name is Pelor when I lay my vengeance upon thee!"

Whenever I get the chance to play... Whatever the party needs. ;)

Though if I have free reign, either a Warlord, Paladin, Warlock, or Rogue/Ranger multi-class.

Wow, lotsa warlords here! Let's add another one!

I had a Dwarf Samuri in one of my favorite campaigns in Kalamar. I was thinking about switching him over to a Dwarven Warlord, but decided to go with him being a Dragonborn Inspiring Warlord build. It really fits for him being someone trying to reestablish an old kingdom and to bring the DB back to their rightfull place. Sure he might not be the most tactifully minded, but he sure is inspiring!

Sikan, Silver Dragonborn of the Chin clan!
