As the year ends, I'm savoring Algernon Blackwood's The Centaur. Having read only only of his long short stories, "The Willows," and just a half dozen chapters in, I can say that Blackwood has vaulted into my top five or so spec fic authors.

I have been reading Galactic North, short stories from the Revelation Space setting, I thought I had read it, except I hadn't, so this is a happy occurrence and I am thinking of re-reading Revelation Space because of it.
