I would rate it a 3.5. I wish there was material on making all magical items by cutting corners(excluding artifacts of course), several of the backfires seem too useful, and I wish there was varient backfires. On the positive side, the breaking down of substandard items is cool and the write up of backfires is an idea sparker.
