P.s. BTW, my most used thing is an old set of black, wooden Dragon dominoes that I use for walls in nearly every situation. The other most used things are: cardboard doors from AC1 -D&D; Trees (model train); rocks/boulders; cottages/houses.

The new Dungeon Tiles are the only thing I've ever actually used more than once. I might consider picking up some bits of "dungeon terrain" such as doors, columns, etc., but frankly I'm not sure it would actually end up seeing consistent use.

Don't have much in the way of scene minis. Mostly make due with wet erase marker on hexmat. Features are drawn on, sketched on paper and then cut out, or represented with improved tokens (like pennies for trees).

I did make a recent discovery, though. Cheap tiny doll house funiture. 2 bucks for a pack of tables and the like. Handy.

I use the spell radius templates from Steel Sqwire almost every time we have combat.

Peace and smiles :)

To me, dungeon tiles are not 3d at all. I use mastermaze and hirst arts pieces along with numerous trees, hills, and other bits of terrain we have crafted over the years.

There is nothing wrong with tiles, some of them are quite cool. However, calling them 3d is like calling card tokens miniatures.

The poll does not seem to be multiple choice for me.

I do not use 3-d dungeon props. I use 2-d, flat paper maps with topdown view, and 2-D flat paper tokens with top-down view.

moi aussi. mostly.

i sometimes use 3D. but only if i have the mini.

I use steel squire spell templates, some trees that I made from polymer clay, and other PC props such as treasure chests, tables, etc... and I also made a bunch of numbered stand up PC "monster markers". I have about 5 different shapes and colors, each numbered about 1-12. I have one set that's for large size humanoids and one that's for 10' square monsters. I also have a bunch of plastic legolike castle accessories (ladders, torches, a bridge, bunches of stuff...) that I use occasionally.

But really, the trees are what I turn to most often. I made a mix of pine trees and deciduous ones (with no leaves) - really just trunks. They work great for giving an impression of WHERE things are.

We use Steel Sqwire spell templates if someone who owns them is at the table, otherwise we draw almost everything. Dice are occasionally used, to denote mobile spell effects or spell durations, otherwise it's just pen on grid.

Cheers,
