Twilight Falling, by Paul Kemp
Time of the Twins, by Weis and Hickman

-Dragons of Autumn Twilight by Weis and Hickman. The Twins trilogy may be the better-written, but this one evokes so much nostalgia for me.

-Elfshadow by Elaine Cunningham. Of the TSR stable, I think Cunningham was one of the best writers.

-As for the third choice...hrm. Flint the King by Kirchoff and Niles? Spellfire by Ed Greenwood? Or maybe Christie Golden's Vampire of the Mists? Tough call, there.

However, my favorite TSR stories were the Endless Quest books. But they aren't really novels.

Interesting to see that there has never been a year without novels until 2016. And there haven't been any since.

They've started doing Endlessquest books again in 2018. Maybe, it is a first step.

Man, now I want to go back and reread those old CYOA and Adventure AD&D books. But I'm not spending $25 a book to do so (ebay) lol.

• Saga of Old City - easily my favorite, giving the real flavor of Greyhawk
• Dragons of Autumn Twilight - I'd want to nominate the entire trilogy, but this one is the most evocative for me
• Evermeet - the elven bible for FR, and one of the best stand alone books for FR
