What are your questions for Bruce Cordell?

Bruce Cordell will be re-announcing 4E at UK Gen Con next Friday (31 August). I'm hoping there'll be a Q&A afterwards. If so, what questions would you like me to put to him?

I can't guarantee that I'll be able to ask him your questions but I'll try. ;)

Will Psionics be released within the first year? Is development for the psionics underway? What base classes will be included? Which ones will not?

Excuse my ignorance but what are power points? Have they appeared in any 3.x books (so I can look them up)?

They are a signifier of the internal power that psionic characters use to power their psionics. It's essentially a "spell point" type system. You can find more information in the Psionics Handbook, the Expanded Psionics Handbook, and the COmplete Psionic

Actually, I really didn't know. I don't use psionics when I DM and avoid playing in games in which they appear. But I will try to put your question and Angellis_ater's to Bruce. After all, it wouldn't be the first time a journalist had asked questions on a subject he knew nothing about! :heh:

Sorry, as you started the thread I thought you had experience/knowledge of the current psionic rules.

My questions would be:

1) How are Skills handled? Will PC's be able to get more skills than their 3E counterparts? Will their be an option for a PC to take a skill not normally associated with his class as a class skill? (For example, Fighters can get Intimidate, Jump, etc. I'd be nice if Fighters had a class ability which allowed a player to pick, say, two skills, and have them count as class skills).

2) Will we be getting more Feats?

3) Will Fighters and Paladins get combat maneuvers like the Warblade and Crusader? Will any other classes get something similar?

4) What changes are in store for the Paladin?

5) What changes are in store for alignment? Any chanced we'll get something like D20 Modern's Allegiances?

6) Any plans on eliminating Level Drain?

7) Any plans to get rid of the Vampire's slam attack? (I never understood what the deal was with Vampire's seemingly having the ability to bitch slap the levels out of people)

8) What changes are in store for Humans?

9) Will any races usually considered monster races be available as PC races from the start? Orcs and Hobgoblins, for instance? We've heard rumors about Tieflings being a regular PC race. Will Aasimar's also be a PC race in the PHB?

10) I've heard 25-level spells mentioned. So is that the maximum level for spells?

11) What classes will be available in the PHB?

12) What's the Warlord? A new class? A Prestige Class? What 3.5 class is it most like?

13) Will 4E include Legacy Items?

14) Will Hit Points continue to be rolled for at each level, or will you get a set amount every time you level?

15) Any plans for Ravenloft?

That's all I got for know.
