D&D 4E What chances are there for a 4e DARKSUN to be published?

Then, there's the Paizo update from "Dungeon" and "Dragon" magazines a few years ago; is that going to be thrown by the wayside? (I'd actually be OK with that, as I honestly wasn't a fan of those articles.)

Throw it all away.

While I respect the paizo staff (especially Erik) that whole project totally ruined it.

It was an attempt to include everything from the PHB and not to make it setting specific. I mean, come on now - paladins on Athas?

The entire alignment structure of Dark Sun was in "shades of grey" while the paladin is based entirely on things being black and white.

Now the way it looks like 4th ed is going to handle alignment seems a much better fit for a Dark Sun setting.

IMO athas.org did a much, much better job for 3.5 Dark Sun.

As far as my opinion on 4th ed and Dark Sun - I would expect to see something in parallel with the psionics system - like the Paizo articles were corresponding with the release of the expanded psionics book. The two together would give the "boost" that WotC typically seeks for something like this, IMO.

I bet that 4e paladins would make good templars, now.
