Cleric for me, but not because it is a Leader. But it is a Divine-Class, and the most Divine of them all.

My personal favourites of those up there; Fighter, Rogue, Ranger, Warlock and Warlord.

Another vote for cleric here - the only reason I'd ever play one was because they were necessary for a party to work. But now we have warlords and I don't need to bother gods any more!

Shame it wasn't a multiple choice poll!
I know. I voted Fighter, but my disdain for the defender role in general meant it was a razor thin line between choosing Fighter and Paladin. At least Paladin gets some things like healing and holy energy attacks, not just melee hitting and being a punching bag.

Rogue. I've never been particularly interested in a pure damage dealer, I prefer a bit more utility.

...As a lover of the old edition rogues who could do jack of all trades and in 3E were generally defined as "being able to get things others don't want to be taken" -- purposely broad to include not just loot but also things like a key person's trust -- saying the 4E rogue is only good for pure damage dealing makes my soul cry. On the plus side, woo! I have a soul!

I think the "leader" category gets so much neglect because you don't really do direct effects to the enemy as often as most of the other classes. Support characters tend to be less favored in just about any type of RPG that I've experienced. I too cried great salty tears of...teariness when I found that the rogue, my beloved skill monkey, has become yet another striker/combat thug. Sad. Yay for souls, though!
