What did Bilbo say?

While watching the FOTR with the subtitles on, I came across a question. In the scene in Rivendell where he is talking to Frodo, I think he says (roughly)"I meant to go back, wander the paths of Mirkwood ..." The subtitles on both editions of the DVD transcribe it as "wonder at the powers of mirkwood." Which is it? The first sounds better to me, but hey, who am I?

It's the first. Mirkwood is a forest Bilbo travelled through in "The Hobbit" and its also where Legolas is from, incidentally.
