What did you do with your old D&D rulebooks?

Ahhh, 1974!

Original D&D (1974) is the one true game. All the other editions are just poor imitations of the real thing. :D

...how right you are! And to think i bought all the old boxed sets plus immortal rules for about 15 bucks total...hehe.

Apart from that i only buy uneven editions - therefore i don't have any AD&D, but 3.0

Since 3.5 is a "fractional" edition there is no way i am buying it - i wait for D&D 5.0!

I recently donated all my old RPG books to 10th century China, via TransChronic Charities.

Apparently, they ended up being usedto patch a hole in the Great Wall. Held off four thousand maraudering Mongols for a week, all by themselves.

Bless those lil guys.

Apparently someone already beat you to the TransChronic Charities. Just look at all the threads about dice and gaming in ancient Rome! :-)

I can understand that - but you seem to make the assumption that everyone reads and posts to the board every day and that there are no new posters - neither of which, I suspect, is true. So there could be lots of threads that lots of people who haven't yet seen them, and have something to say about them - just because the people who live their lives here are "done" with the topics doesn't mean the rest of the world is. :D

I make no such assumption, and nor am I joining the chorus of complaints. A couple of these threads have actually been more interesting the second time around :) (And for that matter, some are even more annoying...)

Just trying to shed some light on why people may have piled on you a bit, since you seemed not to understand why anyone would take issue with it.

Cheers!

Our group hasn´t switched to 3,5 and probably wont.
We have ALOT of 3.0 stuff and it feels like a waste to switch.
I think that 3.0 is fine as it is.

Mine are neatly arranged on a bookshelf, along with all of my gaming stuff I've ever gotten. I never get rid of books, gaming or not. I probably have over 2,000 books in my house. Along with over 200 DVDs. (Which also look quite nice on a bookshelf). I won't get into the magazines...
