I voted for 3.5 and that is the main game of choice. We also play Shadowrun 3E

I have been looking at Pathfinder and want to run a game in that soon.

I have been having a hankering to run a 2E game it has been a long time since I have played and I have been feeling nostalgic.

We tried 4E and no one in our group liked it. It was not our cup of tea at all.

D&D 3.5E for the group I DM. We've just come back from a 6 months hiatus due to my second child being born but we're still continuing with the Shackled City AP that we've been playing for 2 years now. The game started before the release of 4E and I saw no real reason to go through the hassle of re-stating everything for the new edition.

Once the current campaign has finished I plan on running another AP using the 3.5E ruleset. My group hasn't broken the ruleset completely as yet and with all the money I have spent on 3.5E books I want to get some use out of them! Unless something changes drastically (like all my 3.5E books being stolen or something similar) I doubt the game will ever switch over to 4E. When 5E comes out in X years from now I'll probably be ready to change editions.

Having said that, one of my players in my group is running a 4E game that all but myself and 1 other player also play in. The only reason I am not playing in it is due to lack of time. If I had the time I would happily play in his 4E game.

GMing 4e, playing some 4e online as well. I'm mildly interested in running a pathfinder or 3.5, but only if I can tone it way down - maybe playing it E6-style. Also looking forward to Gamma World, already beginning to map out a world (New England area with sea levels 150 feet higher than now - the sunken towers of Manhattan and Boston are about 10 miles offshore).

Currently playing some 4e but looking into getting a game going of Eclipse Phase and/or Cthulhutech.

Too many games, not enough time.

I marked 'other' but in previous polls I would have put down 4E.

The only game I'm playing right now is Warhammer Fantasy RP (3E) though we haven't gotten many sessions in due to scheduling conflicts.

My last 4E game ended when I finished university, so I've been taking a break from both playing and purchasing. I bought every book that was released until the PHB3, but haven't been keeping up with purchases since. The constant stream of new content gave me crunch-fatigue, and the new classes in the PHB3 were my breaking point.

I'm not necessarily done with 4E - we're on a break. I might pick up Dark Sun to mine for ideas, and I might cave and buy the MM3. I'm keeping my eye on the Essentials news to see if it rekindles my interest, and I'll definitely snap up at least the Red Box.

I've yet to play the system, but lately I've been buying up Pathfinder stuff like its going out of print. The idea of adventure paths had turned me off of Paizo for a long time, but I subscribed to Kingmaker on a whim and was so impressed I have since grabbed the Pathfinder Core books and GMG. Now I'm one subscription away from being a 'Superscriber' and am slowly picking up bits of the back catalog.

If I run into the advancement problems Emrikol mentioned with regards to Warhammer FRP, I might switch to running Pathfinder, likely E6.

From when we started playing AD&D in 1979 to moving to 2e in 1989 to 3e in 2000 to 3.5 in 2003 to 4e in 2008. However not everyone enjoyed 4e - surprisenly we actually went back to AD&D (not 3.5) in 2009 and haven't looked back.

Though I personally enjoy and will play any edition of D&D, I have since realized that AD&D has been and will always be my edition of choice.
