What do we know about Eldritch Knights so far?

Not what I was thinking. I figured it would by like the Theurge, having +1 per level for caster, and +1 per level BAB, but have nothing else and an entry that costs the wizard spellcasting levels.

If it only costs you a single level of spellcasting and also has full spellcasting progression, then it sounds like an even easier choice than Theurge. Have to see it, of course.

For the record - I posted the question on Andy's board in response to this thread.

My earlier claim about the EK being a spellsword seems to be false, but it was based on the first Dungeon (or was it dragon) 3.5 article (the one in which spellsword was mentioned as a PrC in the 3.5 DMG).
