what do you do

I just had to gape in surprise and say that The One Warlock is officially the second person I've seen online whose profile notes they're also from Western MA in the ten years I've been online myself. And a gamer to boot! I didn't think any more of us existed here. ;)

(Why I didn't notice this until now, I dunno... maybe the fact that this is a "What do you do?" thread got me in that mindset...)

Peace & Luv, Liz

(Blink blink) There are three gaming stores alone in the "Happy Valley" (to be specific). Or is that 4 now. I've always found W MA to be egregiously full of us... chuckle

My ex-girlfriend was an ATC in the Air Force.

And, she played D&D.

Spooooooooky.... :D

Im probably not your ex girlfriend but it is a small career field, smaller still for women. whats her name? Perhaps I know her?

Hmm. I know about The Dragon's Lair, but that's about it. I always end up being the "Token Geek" wherever I work or hang out... and whenever I meet a Massachusite with similar interests online, they always end up being from near Boston, much to my sadness.

I know, I probably just have really bad luck! (Probably doesn't help that Northampton and Amherst are out of my "range", either.)

That's it then! You aren't North enough. I'm in Amherst, and work in Noho. There are gamestores in Noho, Greenfield, and Sunderland, and I hear now one in Chicopee, and then there's the Dragon's Lair, too.

But I tend to be the token gamer where I work, but have never lacked for gamers in the 5 College area.

I am currently unemployed with little prospect of gainful employment soon, living on a steady diet of anti-depressants and anti-psychotics for depression and anxiety attacks, suffering olfactory hallucinations (I smell cigarette smoke all the time and no one in my home smokes) am currently building a brand new home brew setting, doing my best to raise my 13 year old son, and staying inside due to growing agoraphobia.

There ya go....you asked!

I feel your pain on the depression and anxiety. It has cost me a number of jobs in the past, including the military. I don't medicate anymore, however, as I've found other coping mechanisms that work for me.

I'm a single female who is 22 years of age and works as a runway model...wait, this isn't WoW, is it?

In that case, I'm a 35 (in two weeks) year-old father of three girls (17, 13 and 9) and husband of one wife friend of a dog. I work as a computer programmer for a gift catalog company.

I enjoy sports, roleplaying games and sleeping.

So what, if I might ask, did you develop as your coping mechanisms? Email me at calvin.roach@gmail.com if you don't mind!

Thanks!

Alright, my turn! ;)

I'm a 34 (going to be 35) year old mother of four, been married for 11 1/2 years (hello crazypixie ;) ), and am currently in flux with what I want to do when I grow up.

Actually, right now I'm finishing my AAS degree in accounting. I'm working for a non-profit mental health clinic as a records clerk. I am also debating on whether or not to continue my accounting, culminating in a CPA, or take my chances with anthropology, culminating in an archaeology. I like accounting because I like puzzles and analyzing things. I love pre-history because I like puzzles, and nothing is more puzzling than trying to figure out what came before written history. :D

For hobbies outside of RPGs, I enjoy reading a variety of genres, listening to a variety of music, playing with the kids, playing with the hubby, daydreaming, drawing, cross-stitching, etc.
