Hi,

Our weekly Monday night game is as part of a gaming club that meets in a pub so we drink beer mostly. When I game at home, it's usually with one or two beers, or coffee and/or coke.

Cheers

Well I voted for all the non alchoholic bevvies cause since March I've given into the Light Side and stopped drinking alcohol. Not sure if temtation will lead me astray at Gencon UK though :) Mind you it was Conception earlier in the year that persuaded me to quit in the first place, drinking the best part of £120 worth of wholesale beer over 4 days just ain't sensible :)

I may have two or three beer, but I'm usually the only one. If I'm tired, I'll usually have a coffee. But most of the time and at most of the games water is my beverage of choice.

The rest of the group, water or pop.

Ye gods! Horror! My condolensces, buddy. :( That is so, so sad.

My gaming group usually goes for Tim Horton's coffee, then 7-Eleven slurpees, and after that we'll rely on Pepsi (the others get heartburn from Coke) or 7-Up (Mt. Dew if I bring it myself).

(I get heartburn from water, so I don't drink it unless I really have to. Heartburn from water--is that weird or what?)

Water, mostly. Juice and coffee occasionally. My players can drink any non-hard-liquor they want, but they mostly opt for soft drinks (Pepsi, Coke) and only rarely beer.

I hate beer, but I can't drink vodka and DM at the same time. Well, I can, but it's debatable how effective I'd be. I allowed my players to drink hard liquor once and the session went to hell.

If it's what I think it is, I have the same issue. Acid reflux sorta feeling, right? Supposedly, drinking a bit of vinager helps. It's basically that your body is so used to certain levels of acidity that it spazzes if you give it a more natural level of it. Damned equilibriums make me have a hard time not -throwing up- water if I drink as much of it as I would soda.

Lately it has been beer. Since game night moved to a week night I prefer not to drink anything caffinated in the evening otherwise I'll be up all night and a zombie at work the next day. Sleep only gets easier the more beer you drink.

It was a toss up between Diet Coke and beer. If my players are really throwing monkey wrenches in the works then beer. If it is a slow relaxing evening, I'll take Diet Coke.

I'll usually start with something like a Diet Mt. Dew, then I'll have maybe one more diet soda during the game. Sometimes we'll break out the beer, it just depends on our moods and how much beer I have on hand. Most of the guys (and one gal) bring their own drinks, though.
