Message: <blockquote data-quote="Imaro" data-source="post: 3746367" data-attributes="member: 48965">I voted that I needed more info.  I feel like the designers are talking a good game...but I haven't seen any real implementation of anything yet.  The biggest factor on whether I get on the 4e bandwagon is the streamlining issue, and so far I haven't seen any real meat to back up the fact that the game will be more streamlined than 3e.  In fact the previews so far with there more power...bigger fights...etc. have made me more wary about actual streamlining being implemented.  So in the end I feel like we know next to nothing about the actual mechanics of the game.I'm also very wary that some of the playtest seem almost in a...were still consolidating the core rules state...when, supposedly, they've been playtesting since 2005 and the game will be released in 7 months.  At first I was buying into the idea that they were releasing old playtest info, but then I saw the thing on a prototype skill system that had just been introduced and I'm not so sure anymore.  This aspect, along with the fact that so much is suppose to be changing, isn't inspiring confidence in me as far as the rules being integrated and running smoothly.  I've definitely decided to wait for a second printing(unless they offer the first at a discount, like when 3e first came out) since I have the feeling there will be alot of hiccups in this rule set that need to be ironed out.  If WotC had a better track record as far as releasing eratta, then I'd probably be willing to risk it...but for now it's a very catious wait and see mentality.</blockquote>
