What do you want to ask WotC?

If I want to get something published -- say, an enhancement for ToB: Bo9S or the Psionics Handbook or the Tome of Magic -- what media should I target, now that Dragon is gone? What's the format, and who's my contact?

Thanks, -- N

1. Are you, or are you not, the black angel of death? ;)

2. What kind of ownership rules apply with this digital initiative? If I plop down my bucks, how much ownership do I have over the contents? Is it a PDF, or a website that I access (and have the potential to "lose" when servers go down)? If it's a PDF, how do you plan on stopping pirated material?

3. What's going to happen to the DUNGEON or DRAGON titles?

4. Why didn't you just take over the titles from Paizo, implement your digital thingy (with support from the print magazines) and then announce the demise of the mags? Why alienate the fan base with nothing to gain from it? (I'm serious - I don't understand the business behind how the mags were terminated)

5. What from the mags does Paizo own that cannot be used by wotc? For example, does wotc own the title "Class acts" or "Sage Advice"? It's obvious that Paizo owns "Adventure Path"...

Could you be a bit more specific? Short + Sweet is nice, but understandable is better, and some of us are a bit slow.

My bad, I strayed from Morrus' instructions there, didn't I? Here's some real questions:

1. Some people are assuming the DI won't be available by the time the magazines end. Will it?
2. If the content of the DI is online only, will there be a discount to subscribers if your servers go down for a length of time?
3. Will you allow people without access to credit cards to be able to pay for the DI in another way?
4. Will there be measures in place to make sure those that are tech savvy but aren't paying for the service can't get the service? And will it be good protection or will it be bypassible by pirates and a big headache for the normal user, as many types of content protection are?

1 . Was the timing of the announcement impacted by Paizo's need to sell Pathfinder to distributors at the GAMA Tradeshow next week?

2. Was the choice to declare the Dungeon and Dragon periodical brand as "dead" as opposed to specifically moving the periodical online motivated by a desire to avoid user account credit headaches that would follow customer demand to transfer their subscriptions to the online version - and cause money to be paid from Paizo to WotC?

Follow-up: Did WotC just take a huge PR hit to be nice to Paizo and give it a chance at survival by avoiding the subscription transfer issue?

When I have a bad Thursday and Friday, I've had a bad week, regardless of how good Monday to Wednesday may have been. I've just noticed Morrus having to kick people off of this site too. This must be tough, even though some idiots are trying to make it easy.

Best Regards

Ah. See I just figure I factor in ALL the days of the week, rather just two-three days.

But yeah it's bad for Morrus and the mods, but good enough since it saves us from feeling like this has become a civil war.

With the type of material now produced for the magazines being taken back "in house", might we see the return of support for WotC's non-D&D d20 products? I'll feel a lot better about the change in medium for Dragon and Dungeon like content if it means the return of Ares or Polyhedron like content as well.
