What do you want to see in the fourth Adventure Path?

Add another vote for treading into epic levels. I'd rather it start at higher levels than end early.

I'd love to see even more plane-hopping.

I'd like to see something involving the nerra, ethergaunts, or the other "next githyanki". Lots of potential lies in those creatures.

But most importantly, I hope they keep the tone and style of the previous three. I love all the Easter eggs and ties to D&D canon. That's what really keeps me hooked.

Hm. I think one involving a massive war (a la lord of the rings) would be cool, but at the same time, an AP different than, say, Red Hand of Doom. An adventure where the BBEG was a dragon wouldbe pretty cool, too. Finally, I think something involving Frostburn would be cool - what can I say? I like the arctic north.
Yeah, one with a huge war would be great (like Incursion, but not necessarily a planar invasion or anything, just something with lots of epic battles). And there needn't even be a single BBEG - what about a group of foes who are a suitable challenge. That might make for a more diverse final confrontation rather than going toe-to-toe with a single opponent who can crush you like leetle bug.

Ptolus. It doesn't come with its own 1-20 adventure so Paizo could do something great that can be used with or without the Ptolus book.

I doubt that will ever happen though they may publish some generic adventures with an urban/dungeon crawl theme that seem to fit Ptolus.

Since they are offical WotC, I doubt we will see much non-WotC in them...maybe an adventure here and there...but never an entire AP.

Themes are the way to go though and I'd love to see either a Horror AP or a Planes AP (Planescape?)

What would I like to see in AP 4?

An "end villain" that is not an outsider, be it fiend, demi-god, or whatever.

More problem-solving installments.

More tie-ins to older, classic modules. Heck, maybe some "return to" episodes.

No epic levels. Hate, hate, hate, hate 'em.

And at least one "by Ari Marmell" byline. :D

A horror themed AP would rock. One focused on either dragons or the underdark would also be good. For module tie-ins, either the Lost City or Keep on the Borderlands would be fantastic.

Having an AP that is all in the Arctic Cold...or the Arid Desert sands of a world similar to Dark Sun... or one that is entirely set within a Gigantic Urban City with multiple Factions and Sides and gang wars and political backstabings and things like that...

No Planar Hoping, No Outsider BBEG. No Single BBEG, make it a group of lesser powerful people individually but together are just as powerful as the last BBEG have been. Put more Mass Combat with Armies into it.

I'd love to see the elemental planes in focus. And no, no "actually it's Zuggtmoy", no "actually it's Iuz" and no "actually it's Tarzidun". And no, "actually it's Pazzrael", "actually it's Shar" and "actually it's the Overlord of Flumph" either. Can we for once have elemental evil as actual BBEG?

Well, it's just that the extremely low profilation of such elemental (pun very intended) part of the gameworld bugs me.

Other than that?

I guess the shorter AP would make many people happy.

War would be fun.

As would poltical adventures, but I guess they are to open ended for an AP.

Maybe bring on some aberrations?

Maybe a sidetreck that leads to Sigil? I'd love to see Sigil as staging point for one or two parts of an AP.

My preferences for any AP4:

1) Fey
2) Ethergaunts
3) Mindflayers
4) Titans

I know everyone expects me to go all 'rah rah fiends etc etc', but I don't want to see that card played too much too often in the Adventure Paths. Plus anytime anything planar is involved, some folks go into a tizzy, so let's go for sometime different next time around.

So is there anywhere I can read more detail about what the three adventure paths consisted of? How tightly integrated are they? Would they allow you to play them in episodic format or do you have to do each part right after the last?

I think an Oriental adventure path is in order... something to the effect of Romance of the Three Kingdoms or Nobunaga's Ambition. Something like "Keep on the Borderlands" but spans a whole country split into civil war.
