What does it sound like?

I am interested what does the word 'lajciak' sound like (or read like) for native English speakers. Basically, when you hear (or read) the word, what image springs to your mind without any prior knowledge of what the word might mean in the language it comes from?

It's an awkward word in English. For some reason it gives me an image of some monster lumbering through the wilderness, something scary that you can hear coming a long ways away. "Run!" you'll scream. "It's the lajciak!"

So, with that said, it probably means "little noodle" or "fluffy bunny" or something.

green bug-eyed humanoids from land of the lost... i know they were called slestaks... or something similar but still lajciak reminds me of them. :uhoh:

I read it as "Laj ki YAK," and so I was reminded of kayaks. It sounded vaguely Swedish or Norwegian, so I imagined some sort of small boat. Failing that, maybe a sort of journey or quest.

No image for me, but it is not clear how to pronounce the word. If this is for some roleplaying supplement or something aimed at English speakers, try giving a pronounciation guide.

Sounds like an adjective, makes me think "big and cold" (or else just "big cold").

Hmm, seems to be an arctic theme to the answers- anyone else just get Frostburn? ;)
