What else do I need/could I use?

I was thinking of doing a King Arthur campaign. I intend to get legends of excalibur, and already have the elements of magic (revised), and a magical medieval society (western europe). Along with the 3 core books, is there anything else I would benefit from having?

Relics and Rituals Excaliber is good as well. If you like pdfs Alea Publishing Group has some fineones on knights and honor.

While I love D20, I would recommend Pendragon and it's supplements for this campaign. It is a wonderful game, with great flavor and a good, playable system...

I'd second the suggestion for Pendragon.

The other thing is (if you don't have them already) things like the Morte d'Arthur, Gawain and the Green Knight and the other literary sources. In terms of books about King Arthur there are untold numbers and I can't remember the ones I've read which were any good at the moment.

Medieval Player's Manual by Green Ronin would also be useful. Especially when it comes to Christianity in a game (I always believed Arthurian knights are Christian. Do they?). I wrote a review of the book's content: here (on Enworld's reviews)

I'll second this. It's an excellent sourcebook for any medieval setting, but would work especially well for Arthurian.

If they existed at all (doubtful) then yeah, sort of. The holy grail is supposed to be the cup used at the last supper, after all, but other than that, religion isn't central to the story, IIRC. Merlin, on the other hand, is often portrayed as a pagan.

I'll second the Relics and Rituals Excalibur. It's a very good book. I'd also try to do some research on Fey creatures and magic, the Seeli/Unseeli court and maybe some general celtic sites just to get a feel for the non-christian elements like Morgana.

Pendragon is a good idea. I would also recommend GURPS Camelot if you can find a copy. Great source material for several campaign types even if you dont use the GURPS system.
