Well, thundering on whips is a very interesting thing. You see, in thindering's description is says it can be applied to bows and crossbows. However, thundering is not on the Ranged Weapon Special Abilitry Table. So, Whips are a ranged weapons. Ranged weapons can have thundering. You just can't random roll up a thundering ranged weapon.:D

LOL I never noticed that before! I guess I never noticed because, well, as you said, they just never came up in random generation! Now that's funny as hell! :D

Opens up a whole new world, doesn't it! Man, the things I don't learn here ;)

I don't have a problem with that.

Me neither.

about humbleness: I know that you're not perfect (noone is), but you have seen the critter in action, and so you have a better idea if it is balanced or not.

about burst weapons: That's what I think, too. If you take the d6 out at crits, burst weapons with a X2 crit would be totally useless (why pay an additional +1 market price for a possible average 2 points of additional damage at the rare occasions when you get a crit. You could buy something that is more useful, all the time with the +1.

about elemental enchantments stacking: It would render the burst versions useless, too, that's right, at least for weapons with a low crit multiplier. But I think it still could be left in, as long as you forbid flaming/ice or thundering/corrosive weapons.

Here's a good enchantment: turn into a real weapon with a command word. :)

All joking aside, I had my players quivering in terror of my lashknife-wielding ranger/rogue villan. They spent a lot of time staggering back to their feet after being tripped and attacked twice.

It's not dual wielding if I *hold* the whip is it?Cos if it isn't I'm going to get a Throwing weapon!

If you don't attack with the whip, you are not dual wielding, even if it's in your hand. Basically, you must decide whether or not you are going to use the whip at the beginning of your attack action, as it will modify your rolls.

So when I get BAB 6/1 I can attack with my Brill nrg whip, knock em out(Sub dmg) and Coup em' on the 1? And I'm only dual weilding if I go 6/1/-2(or what ever right?)
