What features would you put in a custom gaming table?

Thoughts?
Cup holders. Felt dice rolling places.

Every position should have that dropped down area in front of it so players can have things they don't need at the moment out of the way and things they need up top.

I would also worry about the viewing angle on that LCD. If the table is 30 inches high and i'm sitting in a chair at one of the stations, my head is probably only 15-18 inches above the tables and around 4 feet away from the center of the display. That's a 18 to 22 degree viewing angle. I expect a lot of folk will be leaning forward a lot to see the LCD clearly. Projected from above, you wouldn't have to worry about the viewing angle.

I hate to sound like a luddite, but if I had $1500 to spend on mapping/terrain/tabletop solutions, I'd rather pour that into Darven Forge (and similar bits and bobs) than into a projection system.

The flexibility and speed of a projection system are great, but its utility is also reliant on a lot of GM prep time. And there's simply nothing that compliments miniatures as awesomely as tactile, 3D terrain.
