What fonts and font size do you use

I use Zaph Elliptical 10 pt (a slightly more elegant serif font that I use as an alternative for the ubiquitous times new roman) for most of my gaming docs. For minor headers, I use bold or larger versions. For major headers, I historically usen Bremen, but I switch that up depending on the campaign. For example, for my planar campaign, I am using the classic Exocet font you may know from planescape.

Here is an interesting bit of knowledge for you: Did you know some font and PDF creation methods make PDFs that LOOK perfectly fine, but only produce garbage on a copy/paste?

Truth. Really.

I'm not sure where the problem is, but some of my fonts cause this problem in a nasty way.

Judging by my typometer, the size for their headlines is 18, 12 and 10 points, and the main text is 8 points. But take that with a grain of salt, it has been ages since I last used a typometer (8 points for the main text seems too low...).

Not sure of the font, but the main text is pretty times-new-romanish. Don't know what font they used for headlines.
The main font used by WotC for the core rulebooks is Celestia Antiqua, 8pt. I don't own it (it's quite expensive, and I'm not in the publishing business), so I use Palatino Linotype (also 8pt). 8pt is quite readable. 10pt is bearable, if a bit too large for my taste, and 12pt is horrible.

It's really 8 pt? Thanks. So I haven't lost all my typesetter skills... ;)
(But my old boss would have smacked me silly for not identifying the font.)

And I agree, 12 pt is IMHO way too large. Personally, I'd go for 9 or 10 (and in fact I do).

WotC uses Celestia Antiqua for it's maintext? Well call me suprised... I use the same type, next your going to tell me they're using Pterra for the headers and Scala Sans for the tables...

Those three fonts where/are very expensive, if i remember correctly i paid $500+ to use those three fonts and i need to pay extra for pterra if i want to use it in a commercial product (depending how much the product will cost and how many i will sell).

The font which I use for Great Mastiff's book is Sylfaen, which is rather like Times New Roman but is more artistic-looking (less newspaper-like) while remaining easy to read. Font size depends on the demands of printing (i.e. how expensive it will be to add more pages and thus make a larger font). 9 pt. to 10 pt. is the usual, but Sylfaen tends to be slightly larger than Times New Roman of the same 'point.'

For the titles (both interior and exterior), I use a font called "Lettergical." This has the dignity and boldness of gothic lettering, but is simpler and easier to read.

For a few finishing touches in the gothic lettering department, I use "Auldroon" or "Cuthbert." Mostly for signatures, etc.

I tried but couldn't stand the 11+ font size! Too big (a new phobia....meglafontaphobia...) for my taste, and so little text in the columns. Too many $5 dollar words and my paragraphs lose their shape. I'm back to 10, 9 for info bars. Size 8 font sounds about right for the main text (for WOTC) - tempting, but print quality is an issue, so I'll leave myself at 9/10 to make it comfortably readable. I'll stick with 12 for section headers, 16 for titles.

As to the 2.5 font size ........  you'll ruin your eyes son! (said in the cadence of 'you'll shoot your eye out')

I still need to determine the font, checking out my options now.

Well, I only use it for 3-letter abbreviations of ability scores listed vertically in the box where a modifier of that score is used. For example, there is a column a mere 5 points wide containing text this small in the skill chart. It is very natural on the page and if you can't see that small anyway, the whole character sheet probably looks like one big smudge anyway. :) (And I hate that movie, sorry.)
