What game systems are supported?

Hi,

I've just found your site, and I love the concept. I'm a Hackmaster GM, and I'd like to give T13K a try.

Do you only allow D&D, or is T13K game independent? Since the game system would have no bearing on the setting creation, it should work.

Let me know if this is kosher, and how do I get started?

The official online world is D&D 3.5 edition. If you want to pull players from the online community and have their characters free to move between games and DMs, you must be running 3.5, or near enough after you apply your house rules.

However, if you want to take the setting and adapt it to your own games, feel free to do so in whatever system you want. You just won't be able to have as much of an effect on the official Thirteen Kingdoms timeline and events.

I think Hackmaster could be done, yeah. Sure your PCs won't be able to move freely between different DMs, but I think it should be ok to participate with events and locations (the AREA forums in the DM+ section), and the timeline doesn't care what system you are using - it advances with events, not stats. Kind of neat being able to contribute to the canon gameworld

I appreciate you being open-minded about it. If 3.5 is the "child" of 1ED/2ED D&D, and Hackmaster is the "child" of 1ED/2ED, then you could say our two game systems have the same parent.

I must admit, your forum structure is a little confusing. I can't find the DM+ area. Am I missing something?

You might need to join the T13K DMs usergroup from inside the My Account settings. You just select it, and are automatically added.
