Look at how many of them are actually D&D designers. Wizards designs quite a range of games... and playing *good* games is recommended when you're a designer.

WoW taps some very deep addiction impulses, which is why I made myself stop playing. Unfortunately it means I never got to see the interesting game play that supposedly becomes available at end game. I wonder what interesting mechanics the WotC designers have encountered deep in Wowlandia. (And not just the superficially visible ones like knights' aggro control.) I'm keen to see if any of them get brought into D&D.
