What happened to the news?

To give you an idea of where WotC is this week, here is what James Wyatt wrote in his blog today.
Here's a sign of how work has been lately: Earlier this week, I got an email from Qdoba (a Mexican-ish restaurant chain) saying they missed me. "We're about to put your face on a milk carton," they said.

No, seriously.

Rich Baker and I are finishing up the Player's Handbook writing this week. On my list for this morning: read through the Skills chapter (I think it's in pretty good shape), and write the first couple of pages for each of the Classes chapter, the Feats chapter, and the Powers chapter. Then I hope to pick a class and delve into cleaning that up, taking what we have from development and making it into beautiful, concise, crystal-clear prose. Then I have meetings from 10:00 until 12:30... Hm. Maybe I won't get all that done this morning.

Certainly not, if I don't get to it! Maybe next week I'll have time to post more.

Add to this the fact that the first digital issues of Dungeon and Dragon are supposed to get posted this month and I suspect people over at WotC are probably extremely busy.

There's 4E news (going backwards) for Tuesday, Monday, Saturday, Friday, Thursday, Wednesday... the only day there's no 4E specific news is Sunday. I imagine WotC staffers don't work 7-day weeks.

Oh. I didn't mean like there are no new at all, but before there was five or more blogs every day and now suddenly nothing. Just asking...

Most of the blogs haven't been discussing 4E. It's slowed down a lot in the past week, but there have been posts.

Steve Winter has been posting on D&D miniatures, about campaigns and the polls.
James Wyatt posted a long entry on the Rules Compendium.
Mike Mearls posted about The Sinister Spire.
Rich Baker posted about the Phillies making it to the post season (Go Phils!)

It seems the 4E discussion is on hold so that the designers can actually work on it.

Maybe the early external play-test reports have started coming back and they've been overwhelmingly negative about the new system. Boy, that'd suck for everyone involved.

Ok. I was just asking. I didn't mean to be negative or something. Acutally rather the opposite, I am so eager to see something new. The Noonan blog is great!
