What happens when a psicrystal dies?

There's always psychic reformation. Use it to swap out your original Psicrystal Affinity feat for a new one. Essentially, it's a delayed XP (and/or gp if someone else manifests the power) hit for losing your familiar.

Psycrystals seriously shouldn't be dying... if you have one you should have Share Pain and Vigor to go with it! :p

That's actually what prompted the question!

If I'm a 8th level Psychic warrior with Vigor, Expanded Knowledge:Share Pain, and Psicrystal Affinity, couldn't I, in theory, drop 11 pp and effectively block 80 hp's worth of damage?

Or is there something I'm not seeing to this combo?

I'm too lazy atm to do the math, but with Share Pain and Vigor, your Psy-war is much, much, much harder to kill! Just make sure you keep enough PsP to keep your Vigor going.

Personally, I detest the Psy-War. Wilder does it better. :p
