I have yet to throw a solo at my group, but I was thinking precisely what CapnZapp suggested - give solos 2 turns per round. That helps make up for the deficit in actions compared to a full party of 5, and makes their damage more significant.
Do you think their hit points are okay by the book, or should they be reduced? 5x seems like a lot, but our group is pretty high in damage output. It'd be kind of scary seeing what they could pull off focus firing on a single target. Fortunately hp can be adjusted some on the fly if needed.
