What if...

Captain America.

Exactly. I'd go 1 level as a paladin, then the rest as a cleric. That way, every stat comes in handy. You'll need the high wisdom, the charisma will boost your saves and give you mega powers (in addition to undead turning, check out the Divine Might feat from Defenders of the Faith), your strength will help you in combat, CON for hit points, and the INT and DEX are just gravy, really.

Such a character would be a one-man-show, IMHO. Which is why I use 32-point-buy. Can you imagine playing in the same party as this guy? What if you were in his party, and you rolled all 10's and 12's? Point-buy, people. Point-buy.

I have played with a paladin which was close. Only one stat below 16 that was a 14 for IN. She did not domanate the party. Still needed the rogue for traps, and the wizard for arance spells. The fighter had more options and cleric more spells. All it did in the long run was to save us money on stat boosting items for her as we could give her weaker ones the the rest of the party.

I'd just roll him again. What's the fun in that? :D

Seriously, I don't think I'd try to maximize him class-wise. I'd just pick whatever race and class I was going to use anyway. Although I do like the 6x666 half-fiend idea! :)

Never rolled a character with 6 18's but my major NPC IMC has that, well now he has a 20 Str. He's a Psion(Egoist)/Fighter. He will take the Sangehirn PrC (from the Mind's Eye articles on the D&D website) when he qualifies for it.

A friend of mine, several years ago, had his computer roll up 5000 character stats. The best one had 3 17's and 3 18's.
