The B&G announcement thread points out only adventures have gotten Platinum treatment thus far, so even if there is a main book and an adventure book, I would guess only the adventure would get all the doodads.

I still think we are looking at a Spelljammer style slip case. That seems like a safer bet and a good test to see if the market wants a full on campaign setting.

I think the Realms was a sure bet for them. I am not so sure about DS.

There is no such thing as a sure bet. Unless you make a spelljammer of it, in which case it's a sure bet it will fail.
