What is a free action times ten?

Let me give you an example to help explain the question:

Let's say I'm an Epic Level Rogue, and my Open Lock modifier is +60. The Epic Level Handbook states that by adding +50 to the DC of a lock, it can be opened as a Free Action. So I come across a Very Simple Lock (DC:20) and decide to open it as quick as I can but I'm not in danger, so I decided to take 10.

How long does it take me to open the lock? Strictly speaking, it takes me 10 times as long but since I'm doing it as a free action is it still relatively instantaneous?

Does ten free actions still count as a free action? Or would you say that is crossing a line and needs to be adjudicated by the DM (since that is where the judgment of "too many" free actions lie)?

I would let the take 10 would count as a free action (especially since taking 10 does not take 10 times as long as you claim), I wouldn't let him take 20 as a free action, since it symbolizes 20 tries, and that's a bit too much free actions for me in 1 round.

Uh... Take 10 does not increase the time, only Take 20 does. ;)

And even a thousand free actions are still free. The DM is free to disallow any, though.

For example, I would only allow a single lockpicking attempt per round, even if they are free actions.
