What is Dungeons & Dragons "dungeon delve format?"

Now that I think about it, a whole page (or two) in the DUNGEON DELVE format seems pretty DM friendly, but it seems to force the adventure towards being very D&D-Miniatures-Combat-Heavy. I'll admit, it's definately easier to run, but there has not been (thus far) much plot development capability for this approach. Yes? No?
No. I don't see that the two have anything to do with each other. It's the same info that D&D modules have been using since the '70s, just in a more usable format.

One thing I don't like is that they put the placement of the monsters on the maps. That makes reusing the maps almost impossible, and, it's just damn ugly. I wish they would include a player version of the maps with modules as well as a DM's version.
I'm not sure I understand this. The monsters are only indicated on the DMs map in the delve entry, aren't they? The master location maps in the module booklet and the battlemaps (as in KotS and the Fantastic Locations) don't have any monsters indicated on them.

Ah, sorry wasn't clear. Was thinking of the Dungeon maps we've had so far. Frequently, particularly if there is no "master map" of the encounter, all we get is the Delve map which indicates the location of baddies.

Since I run my games online, I use the maps as jpgs, which means I have to do a bit of editing to clean them up. If they would give me the clean version too, it would make me happy.

Kinda like how Paizo did it before.
