What is it that makes you do that voodoo that you do so well?

I'm a programmer. I write web applications for my company's internal use (and occasionally some things that the public can access through our web site).

And when I say "my company" I obviously don't mean that I own it. :)

No, I don't have horns.

JoeBlank does have horns. I've seen them. ;)

I'm a federal employee. I work for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. www.cdc.gov

Another government man here. I manage a Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) computer lab for the Farm Services Agency (FSA) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

I dig it.

Do you live in Little Rock? The firm I work at, Kutak Rock, has an office in a building with Heifer just down the hall. :)

I work in IT. I'm a consultant working at Capital One. Right now, I'm not really doing anything, and my "role" is called "early engagement designer" which, in theory, means I'm supposed to create system requirements and move a project into the development phase.

But I hate it. I'd rather be working with database. I'm a data warehousing expert. So, I've been looking for something new.

I'm a full-time college student working as a teacher's assistant this summer. I spent 8 years in the military as an electronics technician, hated it, and decided to switch careers.

Professor of Pop Culture Studies has a nice ring to it.
