What is "railroading" to you (as a player)?

I legit do not understand how the inclusion of the Deck is rairoading. No one has to draw.
Because you have no way to change the outcome of the deck because you are plane locked. A game layer who draws the imprisonment card just lost their character for multiple sessions. People whine about being hit with a banishment spell and that’s a few minutes. The deck has cards that can eliminate characters from the campaign. Its plane locking and the deck combo that is railroading.

You know what can also eliminate characters from a campaign? Anyone with a weapon. Anyone with a damaging spell. Anyone standing near you in a high place with hands.

Not exactly. I just think the distinction is usually pretty blurry and subjective.

All it would have taken was one astute Trojan, or one ill-timed Greek sneeze, and if Odysseus were remembered at all it would be for having come up with the World's Dumbest Plan.

Or maybe it's that the more obviously "smart" a plan is, the more obvious it is, and thus less dependent upon intelligence?
The only difference between a genius with 18 Int and a genius with 5 Int is the result. :)
