What is the best material to use for creating DM Screens?

There are a few decent DM screens available for use out there on the internet, but I"m curious...

If I get one, download it, and print it out, its just 4 pieces of paper. I want to glue it to something connected!

What is a good material to use for creating that harder-backed, connected portion of the DM Screen?

You could start with the older, unsatisfactory DM screens that you don't use anymore...

Try those cardboard file-folders that you can either swipe from the office or buy from office-supply stores. If you use old, discarded file-folders from teh office, the swiping won't be so frowned upon.

Or you could score yourself a supply of hard or heavy paper (at least 75 lb or heavier), print your DM screen files on those heavy sheets, and they literally stand up on their own. Tape together the sides, and you can have as many accordion sheets together as you want.

I just tape mine to my old Planescape DM screen and it works perfectly. You can barely tell that I taped printed sheets to it.

Character sheets of PCs you've brutally slain over the course of your DMing career. The bitter tears of your players make a surprisingly resilient adhesive.

Hahahaha.. that's pretty funny!

What about poster board? You know, the stuff you used for your science fair projects? But its only usually 3 pieces and a lot of screens are 4 sheets... any use with that? Also, I don't have any older DM screens, so using those is out of the question. Out of the question!

EDIT: Forgot to laugh about the plexiglass, that was pretty funny too. :)

I took two old binders, joined them together with duct tape, and then covered the outside with some black marble contact paper. Then I taped the reference sheets I wanted to the inside. So I have a nice, sturdy, 4 panel screen.
