I have no idea what the alignment of kender is, but *man* I hate them. I've taken to playing a monk who doesn't wear anything more than rags just so that I'll have nothing to steal (and God, does our kender sorceror try and steal my nonexistent property) and I'm almost always on the verge of killing him. If he hadn't somehow managed to beat two ogres with a hoopak, I probably would have.
