I tend to play Lawful Neutral characters because that best represents my own personal philosophies, but I've been known to sway to all corners of the compass if I'm interested enough in the character. If anything, I avoid Chaos. I find a Chaotic character to be significantly more disruptive than an Evil one.

Typically Neutral Good. If I'm playing a rogueish type I lean towards Chaotic slightly. A mage will lean slightly Lawful, and on the rare occasion that I play a fighter type they usually stick to the middle of Neutral Good. Occasionally I'll play something more interesting like a Lawful Neutral.

While I jump between lawfull, neutral and chaotic on one axis, I'm always good on this other (unless the game is explicitly a nongood game, and those games I don't enjoy for more than a oneshot). The most common alignment on my PC's has been NG so far.

Now, the most common alignments in my groups so far have been CN and NE.

If we were always playing games where it was approriate, I'd play LG characters more often than not. But I'm not going to stuff a paladin into a party or campaign where they're not workable, so my characters have been pretty much every good or neutral alignment except CN.

Chaotic Good, probably because that fits my personal attitude towards life. Looking through my book of played characters in 3e, the two whom I have played the most are Lawful Good and Chaotic Neutral. The others are all over the Good axis, with some Chaotic Neutral thrown in.
