Naw, Pirate's Booty is nothing to be afraid of. I don't mind having a savory snacks in the candy haul.

The chili and lime chips in the other bag were scary tasting though.

This is one of the few times we got candy corn though.

Candy corn for certain.

Dishonorable mentions go to Milk Duds/Whoppers (same thing, horrible, and worse my parents like them, so they'd be the leftover candy), any of that fake marshmallow crap, and the flavored wax junk. Don't care much for Good & Plenties, Mike & Ikes, and any of the related candies either, though Hot Tamales are okay in small amounts. Don't know what Lemonheads are, but artificially sweetened lemon is absolutely vile, so I'll assume they're more of that and list them here accordingly.

If Necco wafers are what I think they are, then they're just bland and tasteless.

Anything made by Palmer's is terrible too, but their chocolate flavored crap wax is more of an Easter atrocity.

What the hell are Smarties, Almond Joy, Mounds, Werther's, and Twizzlers doing on this list?!

I loved getting apples on Halloween. (I grew up in a rural area with lots of orchards, which meant we got the good stuff. None of that insipid grocery store mass-farmed Red Delicious garbage, hell no. I'm talking Braeburns. Winesaps. MacLemores. Apples that were picked yesterday morning and tasted like honey and cider and joy.)

Living in apple country now I can certainly appreciate good, fresh specialty orchard apples. Red Delicious are the candy corn / Necco wafer of apples.

Though I still wouldn't want an apple in my trick or treat sack.
