What is this creature?

I thought for sure that was a photoshop of what would happen if Michael Jackson and Conan Obrien had offspring together.

It reminds me of the Hobyah in the Standing Stone adventure way back when.

They were diminutive monkey-things that sat in the trees and stared at you at night with their baleful, glowing eyes. Get enough of them and they started causing a fear effect. They were also the first creature with 3.5-style DR (ironically released at the beginning of 3e), since they had DR 10/wood.

Annoying little buggers, they were.

Actually, that thing is very similar to what I envisioned kobolds to be for the six years I played before I saw any pictures of them.

Weird ... me, too! Except a little more brown, right? Or no?

That was the first thing that came to mind. The second thing was:

"The Trash Heap has spoken! Nyah!"
