Pathfinder 1E What is up with Paizo?!?!?

I think I may know why Paizo is having so much trouble with international airmail subscriptions.

On Friday, in the mail, I got issues 101 and 102 of Dungeon. 101 was 3 months late and the reason - they arrived individually, in clear plastic magazine covers, with just an address label - no postage label. I paid for an airmail sub so there should have been at least an airmail/ 'par avon' label. This means they were sent surface mail to the UK - I paid for an airmail sub.

My guess is that whoever is mailing these airmail subs is just dumping them in with the normal US mail, or overseas surface mail. With no postage marks on the cover, I wouldn't be suprised that there hasn't been any postage paid on these items. So I guess it is amazing I am receiving them at all.

I think you're on to something here. My only issue came in an envelope marked "Media Mail". That's probably why it took like three weeks to get to me, when I was expecting at the most five days.

At least my envelope had postage, but since I haven't reveived any regular issues, I can't compare them... hmm, I'll check with a friend.

Good thinking!

Cheers!

Ok, so with the information about the way that they are being delivered.. Has anyone let the people at Paizo know?
With enough feedback and tracking by loyal dnd fans could they not resolve this issue?

Which hopefully make everyone in Sweden and the rest of the world happy. Cause if we all know, you don't dare mess with the people of Sweden... (do you guys still have the special forces team made up of elite caribou? If so, they are a deadly team of special forces) ;) j/k

Paizo and Sweden

At least you are not alone in your plight. Sweden seems to be cursed when it comes to Dungeon/Dragon subscriptions.

I'm another Swedish based subscriber that's been having problems. My first mail was unanswered after two weeks so I sent another. That one was answered within a few days and my missing issue (101) was sent. 102 & 103 also didn't arrive so I chased them as well and received a mail saying they're on the way. The guy I was mailing was called Wade, and he's been very helpful, polite and professional. No complaints form me on that front. I won't be renewing my sub, though that's more to do with content than the delivery issue.

ok. this thread is starting to annoy me. *grumble*

Alright guys...Listen up.

I know you've all had troubles with your subscriptions and you're all agrivated. Although i'm not affilaiated in any way with Paizo or its staff i'll apologize for em.

I met the primary owner of Paizo at Gencon during the Code Monkey Publishing party. Thats where I received the number I posted earlier. I had problems of my own and I took the chance to..erm..discuss it with the head hancho.

(let me take a moment to say he's a hilarious dude.)

Anyway. He explained to me that Paizo recently fired their customer service firm. They originally hired a seprate company to do customer service for them because they are so small. He said they fired the company due to how crappy a job they were doing. I'm not sure if he's since hired a new company or is doing the work himself.

Either way. I was given that number and said to call with any problems. I've passed that number onto you. (Though in reality I wonder if i was supposed to give it out to begin with.)

Call that number, and hopefully your problem will be rectified.

But please stop complaining. Thank you.

Even so, me and Paizo agreed that I should probably try to pick the mags of the racks here in Sweden, which works for me. Too bad I'll miss the subscriber content.

You're wrong. You wont miss subscriber content because its been eliminated from the mags.

Thank you for your advice, Arthur

Yeah, so I gathered after I went down to buy issue 103 from the racks in one of my local gaming store, to replace the one I didn't get.

Also, thank you for your kind advice, but I must say that if you don't want to read this thread, then don't click on it.

We have, most of us, been in contact with Paizo, as you almost certainly know after reading this thread. We have received good service. We have stated that.

We are also several subscribers from Sweden having problems. We would not know that unless we had posted here. That knowledge will help me if I have to get in touch with Paizo again.
