Ranger.

I don't know why though. I guess I like the ranger's versatility and the image of a resourceful loner seeking truth in the solitude of wilderness. Game mechanics-wise, the animal companion is always cool and so are the spells at higher levels as well as the good selection of class skills.

I think I have to go with Rogue, although the most interesting character I've ever played was (and still is) a Bard. I like rogues because they are so versatile, you can create absolutely anything with a rogue.

I'm a huge fan of Wizards and Sorcerors due to a love of all things arcane... harkens back to the first time I read of Gandalf or Merlin for the first time I imagine.

However I would say of all the classes, Druid is my single most favoured class. Natural Magic, animal companions.. summoning spells and shapeshifting all rolled into one..and all backed up by a desire to maintain a balance that will not cause a world of extremes to devour itself alive..they are the "True" fantasy jedi..joy :)

Barbarian, deffinately the barbarian. Wizards and Sorcerers are cool, but they are very physically weak, so it takes an advanced player to play them effectively. Barbarians are for people like me who just want to get into combat, go into BARBARIAN RAGE, and smash things! :D

Sorcerer.

Since only a handful of spells in the PHB are worth taking, in my estimation, this is the perfect class. Give me quantity over variety any day.

I like barbarians. As my avatar and signature quotes indicate, I've been a fan of barbarians ever since I read Robert E. Howard's Conan stories. :D

Ranger. It has always been so, and I expect it's likely to remain thus into the future.

Perhaps it's my affinity for their depiction in Lord of the Rings. Perhaps it was that cool guy with the magic bow in the old Saturday morning cartoon (just kidding). But in truth I think it's that I just like their combination of skills, abilities, and combat prowess, all wrapped into a package that is extremely self-sufficient.

Cleric, for sure. I love them as PCs and NPCs both. They have such an enormous arsenal of magic - for healing, defense and offense. Gotta love the fact that they get Spell Resistance and those arrogant arcane puds don't :D
