I'm a high charisma, skill-based kind of guy, but I've never really liked the flavor of the bard or rogue. (Singing and sneak attacks aren't really my style.) Sorcerors are neat but I wish they had something more than Bluff.

I really love the Swashbuckler from Complete Warrior (now a must-buy $11 at Amazon). The flavor, the lack of armor, the skills... just a great character for my play style.

Rangers are cool, but don't have the social skills I like to play up. I've never played a cleric, but they're another good match for my personality.

Sorcerer with a doubt I love the ability to have my spells online at all times and just use what I need. It's great not to have to start the day trying to second guess the DM.

Paladin. Superman's code of honor. Bright, Shiny, Noble, Lawful Good, black & whiet morality without gritty, dark, grey-shaded pointlessness... That's my play style all the way.

Rogue. This class has always been the archetypal adventurer in my mind. The rogue can fight, scout, hide, sort out locks and traps. Rogue's arn't just thieves anymore.

Cleric all the way, baby!

1 - Customization? check (domains, faiths, spell selections)
2 - Versatility? check (wide choice of spells)
3 - Raw POWER? CHECK! CHECK! CHECK!!!111!!oneoneone (Yep, cleric comes with plenty of power, cojones, or what the french call certain .. I don't know what ;))
