Mine is the cover of Go Dog Go, my favorite childhood book. I drive my children nuts when I read it to them, probably because I get all dramatic with it, adding voices and sound effects:

It's, more precisely, me in a roundabout way. ... it's my initials. "Jdvn" is expanded, and the "1" was added to fit various minimum username character requirements.

I had no avatar for, I think, about a year on here, and some people pestered me to get one. Now that I have one, some people pester me that it doesn't make any sense (though, less nowadays). Should I give up and have an animal avatar like so many others?
