Dragonlance. Mainly because it was my favorite setting (I just loved Dragonlance Adventures) but with the flips and turns that Weis and Hickman took (the Gods returned, no they've gone, oh noes Takhasis is ded etc) with the novels / setting my love for the setting turned to ashes.

Wow, EPIC necro!

Anyways I'd have to say Forgotten Realms. It part super-generic D&D fantasy and part mishmash of lots of stuff that doesn't really go together. I understand why this is a good design from a gaming and marketing point of view, but it's aesthetics don't appeal to me at all.

D'oh! My face is red. I did not notice.

I voted "Other", because I don't hate any setting. I only actively like Greyhawk and Middle Earth, but I also like but don't deeply understand Harn's Harnworld, Kobold Press' Midgard, Pathfinder's Golarion, and 4e's Nentir Vale.

Wow - talk about Thread Necromancy; you went back over a decade, before 3.5 even.

And shame on your for hating on Spelljammer, the eccentric uncle of the D&D universe.
