Yeah but I'm not sure I want these guys running around screwing with AU. Midnight...not as much interest since they all decimated Ravenloft in various ways.
Shatterstone, again my problem with that usage, I tend to ride roughshot over players. Not intentional, just the way I am.

Though I said normal DnD, I'm actually a borderline case. I DM and play in a regular DnD game. And I DM and play in an AU game. So... my answer is both. Though the DnD game I DM I consider my main one, so I chose that.

I'm in three games right now:
Every other Thursday it's Mutants and Masterminds.
Every other Sunday it's Ars Magica.
One Saturday a month its 3.5e Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil.
I chose M&M for the poll since it's my favorite at the moment...

Honestly at one point we played both Star Wars d20 and 3e. Okay mostly 3e, but not be my choice. Damn gaming by commitee... grrrr.
Now a days its mostly SR3 (ShadowRun 3rd ed) [woohoo!], but other than that still 3e rules supreme. Damn Democracy.... grrr.

I went with essentially regular ol' D&D. I run a rotating schedule of Ravenloft and the Scarred Lands on Monday nights.
However, as of late, having picked up the Midnight book, I also threw that in there (none of my games are ever going to get anywhere...sigh...but, at least the time gaming is enjoyable). I've been pondering on making that the focus of my DM'ing, but for now, games closer to the standard, Ravenloft and the Scarred Lands, are what I'doing.

Currently playing 3 Midnight PbPs at AtS.org and DMing one in real life. That would be my choice, but I don't think Midnight should be made variant DnD, as much as I feel that Scarred Lands is not straight DnD.
That is because AU is a lot different of them, and that is why I think it as variant DnD. Anyway, I voted in variant as midnight is there.
But Midnight i what I like of DnD and I like it a lot. Magic os where it is the most different, aside from that, each edition has so many differences that it would mean diaglo is correct.
And 2000ed isn't D&D, it is AD&D.
edit: There is PbP at AtS.org with 3 vacancies at it, check BMStrohs game there and you can play at it!

I DM an odd Arcana Unearthed / Steampunk campaign. With all the third party books I use, its gotten to the point where I don't even need the core ones.
Naturally, I voted for variant d20.
